(no subject)

Well, here I am again. As one of my new year resolutions is to try to keep up with LJ more and try to post more. As an update, I am living on my own, but have not made the final split from my husband. My leaving was a real wake up call. Things were pretty rocky for a while. Now, he is in individual counseling, in addition to the marital counseling, and has been trying to make some real changes. At times I think we can work this out, at times there just doesn't seem to be any point in continuing to try. We are still limping along, but our goal now is to find a way for us both to be happy, whether that is together or apart. I am hopeful that we can reach that goal and still be friends, at least.

In the meantime, I am really enjoying living on my own. The apartment is fairly barren, but neat, orderly and peaceful. I expected to be lonely, but I haven't been at all. In fact I find myself retreating into my apartment by myself, probably more than is good for me. Now that the holidays ar over, and my class is over (I made a B! Yea, me!), I am going to find more activities to get me out into the world.
