Ever since the Handicap Parking laws were put in place, my husband has been in the habit of parking there when he was "just running in for a few minutes". For almost 25 years (or whatever portion of them the laws have been there) I have been telling him he was going to get into trouble over it. I have always refused to be any part of it. If I was there I insisted on parking elsewhere or one of us driving around the lot while the other went in. Today he finally got a ticket for it. He still says it's no big, he'll just pay the fine, but I think the fine is at least $100 and maybe more -- and *I* ain't paying a penny of it. He always claimed that the stores would prevent the police from writing tickets in their parking lot for fear of losing customers, but apparently Lowe's isn't afraid. Maybe he will have second thoughts about what he is "owed" when he is trying to figure what to cut spending on to pay the ticket.
